Southern Soul

If you're no stranger to spots like Myspace and Soul Commune where soul music lovers gather in search of good music, then the name Dain Harris should ring with familiarty. This Atlanta native has been singing since he was very young and is well on his way to becoming a rising star in the indie soul community. Dain's voice needs no electronic additives, it can stand on its own pure and hearty!

Newcomer Paul Rivers Bailey, a soul, R&B, and Hip Hop artist from Santa Fe, New Mexico also began to sing at a young age. His debut album, "Innerchild" blends many different styles with a soul and r&b foundation. For Paul, he is more compelled to have emphasis on the message in his music moreso than the "because it can resonate in peoples lives."

It gave us great pleasure as we invited you to Billie's Black on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 to listen to the music of these two wonderful musicians and to also be present when they took to the stage to entertain you.

While we were truly saddened that more of you opted not to join us --we are elated because they came out and showed out! If you haven't yet had an opportunity to hear either of them LIVE and you get word that they are coming your way, get to where they will be!

ONUTSS Brings to You: Darien ~~> Soul At Its Best!

Yet another ONUTSS-hosted listening party that promised to fill you with the realization that there are plenty of talented musicians around the globe that you might not be totally familar with. Darien's music has been featured on the MusicChoice television network, as well as the Purpose Music Group's "25 Strong" soundtrack. People took notice and wanted more! He also collaborated with the London-based band, Reel People on their latest release, "Seven Ways to Wonder" with the tracks "Alibi" and "Upside". Now, Darien is back and ready to give those who patiently waited, and those who weren't aware all that he has to give! His new cd entitled, "If These Walls Could Talk" was featured at an ONUTSS Listening Party and also included a special performance by this handsome soul man!

ONUTSS had a hot time in July! D.Lloyd & Karmen

July was hot and hectic -- we were moving through Harlem and Connecticut. We started out in Harlem with Darien, D. Lloyd and Karmen and rounded out the month in New Haven with a good dose of Brown Baby Girl.

We really had a wonderful time at each gathering and thank you all, especially the musicians for hanging with ONUTSS!
